Coalville Swimming Club’s senior team secured first and third places in a competition at Hinckley last week.

Along with Melton, the three clubs entered two teams each and it was Coalville Blue who finished as overall winners with 245 points, while Coalville Yellow were third with 157 points.

Individual wins were gained in the girl's under-13 two-length freestyle and butterfly, in the under-11 two-length butterfly and breastroke, the under-15 four-length backstroke, the under-13 100m medley, the open 100m backstroke and the under-11 50m freestyle.

The men took first place in the men's open 100m backstroke, the under-13 50m freestyle and under-15 freestyle, the men's open100m freestyle, backstroke and butterfly, the under-11 50m butterfly, the under-15 100m backstroke, the under-13 100m medley and 50m butterfly.

There was also success in the under-13 backstroke, girl's under-13 breastroke, under-11 backstroke, under-15 butterfly and the under-13 breastroke.

Coalville also enjoyed success in the relay events, finishing in first in the mixed under-11 4x2 medley, the mixed under-13, the mixed open and the mixed freestyle relay.
